Due to a brush fire that broke out in Sylmar late Thursday night, Evacuation orders were issued. Saddleridge Fire Burning happened on 4000 acres, and many homes and power lines got burned.
According to the Lose Angeles fire department, the wind increased the fire and, dubbed the Saddleridge Fire, erupted shortly before 10 p.m. near the westbound 210 Freeway near Yarnell Street. A couple of hours, flames reached the 5 Freeway into Granada Hills and Porter Ranch, where some homes and power lines got burned.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 210 Freeway was shut down in both directions between the 5 and 118 freeway. The blaze is currently 0% contained.
Several homes got burned and destroyed by the fires. In the morning, we can get the whole details of the number of homes destroyed and the number of burned things. No victims have been found yet, which is good news, but still, people are scared and worried about their homes.
