The official website for “Ippon” Again, the television anime by Yu Muraoka
Friday saw the debut of a second (M Ippon!) manga promotional video. Fresh cast members and a new image were also released on the website.
The new cast members include Yumi Uchiyama as Shino Natsume and Anna Nagase as Tsumugi Himeno.
The anime’s debut will be in January 2023.

The anime is being produced by BAKKEN RECORD under the direction of Ken Ogiwara (SSSS.GRIDMAN ANOTHER LOAD book, Shadows House, episode director on Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood). Aya Satsuki is in charge of the series scripts. Character design and main animation director duties are shared by Airi Takekawa (Joran: The Princess of Snow and Blood sub-character design). Pony Canyon is producing the soundtrack, which was written by Shun Narita (The Girl in Twilight, Noblesse).
Michi Sonoda, the protagonist of the manga, intended to give up judo after her final junior high competition. Sanae Takigawa, her best friend, however, extends an invitation for her to pursue judo in high school.
In October 2018, Muraoka published the first chapter of the continuing manga in Weekly Shnen Champion from Akita Shoten.
