A character video for the television anime version of Takemachi’s Spy Classroom (Spy Kyshitsu or Spy Room) light novel series was made public by Kadokawa on Friday. Grete is the main subject of the video.
A fresh image for Grete was also unveiled by Kadokawa. Every week for the following five weeks, the firm will also release a new character video and graphic. Lily was the subject of an earlier video.
The show’s principal cast members are returning their parts in a supplementary voice drama and previous promotional videos:
- Sora Amamiya as Lily
- Yuichiro Umehara a Klaus
- Miku Itō as Grete
- Nao Tōyama as Sibylla
- Aoi Yūki as Monika
- Sumire Uesaka as Thea
- Ayane Sakura as Sara
- Tomori Kusunoki as Annett
The anime is being directed by Shinichi Inotsume (Gangsta., Hayate the Combat Butler, PERSONA 5 the Animation), who also oversees the series scripts, and Shinichiro Kawaguchi (Frame Arms Girl, Hayate the Combat Butler, Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU). Character design for the film is being done by Sumie Kinoshita (Dropout Idol Fruit Tart, Forest of Piano, Girlish Number).
The English translation of the light novel series by Yen Press and its manga adaptation reads as follows:
Countries conduct their conflicts in secret after a disastrous military confrontation. One peculiar spy, Klaus, has never failed in his work despite his eccentricities, and he is assembling a team to attempt an Impossible Mission—one with a failure rate of more than 90%. But all of his selected people lack any real life experience and are washouts. They’ll need to utilize every trick in the book—and some that aren’t—to demonstrate their competence!
In January 2020, Takemachi released the first volume of the light novel series with artwork by Tomari.
In May 2020, Kaname Seu released a manga adaption in the Kadokawa magazine Monthly Comic Alive.
