The English dubbed version of the upcoming Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai (Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibken) anime will debut “soon” on digital platforms, according to a Friday announcement from Toei Animation. An English-dubbed footage was shown by the corporation.
In 2020, October, saw the anime’s debut.
The anime is being streamed live on Crunchyroll and Hulu. On Saturday, the anime’s last and 100th episode will premiere.
The series was put on hold following the Toei Animation hack in early March, and on April 16 it returned with its first brand-new episode in six weeks.
Toei Animation’s series director is Kazuya Karasawa, who also created the storyboards for Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The scripts for the series are being overseen by Katsuhiko Chiba (Rune Soldier, Baby Steps, Tiger Mask W). The characters are being created by Emiko Miyamoto (Maho Girls Precure!). The artistic director is Ayaka Fujii (of Studio Pablo). The soundtrack is being composed by Yuki Hayashi. Color design is under the control of Aya Mori. Director of the Dragon Quest series Yuji Horii is credited with overseeing the original manga. The anime, which combines CG and 2D animation, is being made by Toei Animation.
