The Interviews with Monster Girls (Demi-chan wa Kataritai) manga by Petosu will take a pause in the following issue before concluding with its last chapter in December, according to the November edition of Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine, which was released on Thursday.
In November 2021, the manga’s 10th compiled book volume stated that the manga’s 11th volume would be the last volume and would be released in the fall of 2022.
The manga is published in English by Kodansha USA Publishing, which summarizes the plot as follows:
Known as “demi-humans,” these mythical creatures prowl among us. One young man has grown enthralled with the “demis” ever since he first learned about them. That’s why it’s a dream come true for him when he lands a position as a teacher at a high school for demi-girls! However, in addition to their magical traits, these demis—which include a boisterous vampire, a shy headless girl, and a succubus—also struggle with the same issues that regular teens do. What to do with a roomful of them?
In September 2014, Kodansha’s Young Magazine’s third issue published the manga’s first installment. After the April 2021 end of publication of Young Magazine the Third, the manga was transferred to Monthly Young Magazine.
A television anime based on the manga was produced in 2017. The show was broadcast live by Crunchyroll, while an English dub was provided by Funimation.
In January 2019, Young Magazine’s third issue of the manga’s spinoff, Occult-chan wa Katarenai (Can’t Talk With Occult Girls), published by Kae Hashimoto and Hajime Honda. Interviews with Monster Girls and the manga both migrated to Monthly Young Magazine in the same month. The manga’s eighth volume was also released on June 20 by Kodansha. This fall, the manga’s ninth volume will also be its last.
