The announcement of Buddy Daddies, a “buddy assassin” television anime from Nitroplus and P.A. Works that will premiere in January, was made live on Aniplex’s website.
The slogan for the advertisement reads, “The buddy assassins’ most fearsome target is… a tiny girl!?”
The principal actors are:
Despite having outstanding communication skills, a predilection for ladies, and a love of gambling, Toshiyuki Toyonaga plays Kazuki Kurusu, a guy who is eluding love.
Rei Suwa, played by Kouki Uchiyama, is an assassin who has never felt love since he was reared that way since he was a little boy.
In the role of Miri Unasaka, played by Hina Kino, a four-year-old child whose mother is the leader of a human trafficking syndicate and whose father is the kingpin’s boyfriend, Kazuki and Rei are roommates in addition to being partners in crime.
The anime is being made at P.A. Works under the direction of Yoshiyuki Asai (Charlotte, The Day I Became a God, Fate/Apocrypha). The series scripts are being overseen by Yuuko Kakihara (Aikatsu! franchise, Cells at Work!, Digimon Adventure tri., Persona 4 The Animation) and Vio Shimokura (Tokyo 24th Ward, Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi, scenario collaborator on Steins;Gate) from Nitroplus. The initial character designs were created by Katsumi Enami (Baccano!, Star Ocean anamnesis, Restaurant to Another World), while Katsutoshi Kitagawa (songs in Aria the Animation, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card, Chobits, Tamayura) is creating the soundtrack for Round Table.
