Digimon World: Next Order will debut on Nintendo Switch and PC (through Steam) in North America and Europe on February 22, according to a Thursday announcement from Bandai Namco Entertainment America.
With several language choices, including English and Japanese voices, and English, French, and Spanish subtitles, the game initially debuted on the PlayStation Vita in 2016 before being released internationally on the PlayStation 4 in 2017.
As stated by the developer:
In Digimon World: Next Order, players take on the role of a DigiDestined as Shiki or Takuto and set out on a mission to solve a puzzling Digi-mystery and bring the Digital World back to its original state of order after it had descended into complete chaos as a result of the Machinedramon that had taken control. As a DigiDestined, players will come across a variety of Digimon and can choose to take them on as allies in their quest to restore the Digital World. To prevent the virus-infected Digimon from wreaking total damage throughout their path, they will need to investigate the Digital World and fortify their connections with their Digimon allies.
There are more than 200 Digimon available for players to gather and become friends with in Digimon World: Next Order, and they may choose two of these companions to go on adventures with them. Through training, nutrition, and Digivolving, players may deepen their ties with their Digimon and help them reach their full potential and combat strength. In addition to meeting a diverse group of personalities along the way, DigiDestined will have the chance to develop and run the town of Floatia, which acts as a base of operations for them while they journey.
