The creators of the ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister! anime’s opening and closing theme songs were made public on Sunday at the live-streamed “TOHO 10 Year Anniversary” event.
The “Onimai Sisters” (the voice actors for the major characters: Marika Kno, Kaori Ishihara, Hisako Kanemoto, and Minami Tsuda), also known as the multi-genre artist P Maru-sama, perform the closing theme song “Himegoto * Cry Sisters” in collaboration with cosplayer Enako. Both tracks’ CD singles will be available beginning on February 15.
The animation at Studio Bind marks the series debut of director Shingo Fujii (Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation episode 11 storyboards, director). The series scripts are written by Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Prison School Love All Play, Tsurune). Characters are being created by Mushu Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation episode 11 animation director Ryo Imamura. The show’s producer is EGG FIRM.
The manga is being released digitally in English by Kodansha Comics, which provides the following plot summary:
Until one morning, Mahiro Oyama was just a regular guy who enjoyed playing erotica games. The results of his younger sister Mihari’s new experiment on him, a crazy scientist, were devastating in Mahiro’s opinion. However, Mihari is just as keen to learn all there is to know about him as he is to return to his reclusive, game-playing existence. As a result, it is clear that things are only going to become crazier from this point on.
On January 1, 2023, the anime will debut.
Beginning in 2017, Nekotofu self-published the comic on pixiv and other internet platforms. In April 2019, Ichijinsha’s Comic Rex magazine welcomed Nekotofu to begin a regular publication of the manga. On April 27, Ichijinsha released both the second anthology volume and the sixth compilation book volume of the manga. The fifth volume in English was published on March 22 by Kodansha Comics.
