HoYoverse said on Monday that the “Genshin Concert 2022” international online concert will take place on October 2 as part of the Genshin Impact game. In collaboration with the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, anime and movie composer Shiro Sagisu (Evangelion, Bleach, Shin Godzilla) will direct the soundtrack. The conductor will be Emear Noone (Hearthstone, Overwatch).
On Monday, the game’s YouTube account broadcast a second preview for the concert:
On the Genshin Impact YouTube channel, the 75-minute concert will be accessible for free at 12:00 p.m. UTC+8.
The soundtrack for the game was written by Yu-Peng Chen and produced by HOYO-MiX. Yu-Peng Chen said “I and the HOYO-MiX crew have always found making music for Genshin Impact to be an everlasting journey. As Inazuma and Sumeru developed during the previous year, we worked to add global influences to the Genshin Impact soundtrack. I can’t wait to hear how these soundtracks are received by artists and players all across the world.”
Comment from Sagisu “The original Genshin Impact soundtracks not only wonderfully complement the in-game sights and atmosphere but also give players a lot to think about outside of the game. We’ve attempted numerous approaches to the music, incorporating pop, rock, and jazz components, along with the HOYO-MiX team and international musicians. We’re hoping to provide the players a new and enjoyable experience.”
