UFO After Great Mazinger and Mazinger Z, Robo Grendizer was the third entry in Go Nagai’s huge robot franchise. 1975 saw the debut of the original Grendizer anime and manga, and as part of Jim Terry’s Force Five initiative, the animation was later brought to the United States. Three anime films would also draw inspiration from the anime and manga.
When it was aired in France in 1978, the animation was known as Goldorak. The show contributed to increasing the influence and appeal of anime throughout the nation.
