The Aniplex Online Fest 2022 event on Saturday made clear that Mashiro was dating Yamada at level 999!

An animated television series based on the manga (Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru) will debut in 2023. My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999 was confirmed as the anime’s English title at the event.

Kouki Uchiyama plays Yamada in the anime, while Inori Minase plays Akane.

Madhouse is producing an anime directed by Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru, Card Captor Sakura, My Love Story!). The characters are being created by Kunihiko Hamada, while the screenplay for the television series are being handled by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos, Kaguya-sama: Love is War).

The manga, which Mangamo is publishing in English, has the following plot summary:

Akane, who had recently been dumped, was preparing to give up the video game she used to play with her ex when she saw Yamada. Yamada ends up being somewhat of a legend in real life. The main issue is that he is just thinking on the game. Will Yamada maintain his attention on the game while Akane’s emotions intensify?

The manga was released in 2018 by Mashiro. The fifth volume of the manga’s compilation book was released by Kadokawa on April 22.

The 6th Annual Tsutaya Comic Awards 2022’s Grand Prize went to Loving Yamada at Lv999! In Japan, more than a million copies are in use.
