Variety: Sega’s Yakuza Game Franchise Got Live-Action Film

On Thursday, Entertainment News source variety reported that Sega is developing a live-action film adaptation of it Yakuza game franchise which is called Ryū ga Gotoku in Japanese. It has a collaboration with 1212 Entertainment and Wild Sheep Content.

Producer

The film has been produced by Erik Barmack, Joshua Long and Roberto Grande with 1212 Entertainment and Wild Sheep content are searching for scriptwriters.

Release Date

In 2005 in Japan and in 2006 in the West, the franchise with the original Yakuza play station 2 game has been debuted by Sega.

On November 13, the Yakuza: Like a Dragon game will be launch outside the Japan for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam and Windows 10. On a later date, the game will be launch on PlayStation 5. The game for PS4 in Japan as Ryū ga Gotoku 7: Hikari to Yami no Yukue has been released by Sega in January 5.

In December 2016, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, the previous game in the series was launched on the PS4 in Japan. For North America, the game was launched in April 2018. In June 2019, the PS4 version of its Yakuza 5 game was released by Sega in Japan.

On February 26 and April 22, its Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami games has been released on Xbox One by Sega. It is also available with Xbox Game Pass. On July 30, Yakuza Kiwami 2 game has been launched by the company.
