BOFURI: To Avoid Injury, I’ll Increase My Defense to the Maximum Second Season of Anime to Premiere in January 2023.

The second season of the anime BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, therefore I’ll Max Out My Defense will now debut in January 2023, Kadokawa said on Tuesday. The program was originally supposed to debut this year.

Kadokawa further unveiled the second season of the show’s cast.

The first season of SILVER LINK is being directed by Shin Oonuma (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, WATAMOTE; Minato co-directed the first season with Oonuma). Again in charge of series creation is Fumihiko Shimo (Anima Yell!, New Game!). Character design and chief animation director duties will once more be handled by Kazuya Hirata (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Sunohara-S no Kanrinin-san). Director of animation in chief will also be Hiroyuki Honda. To write the music, Taro Masuda is back.

The first season of the program will start airing again on October 6.

In Japan, the Itai no wa Iya nano de Bgyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu novels’ first animation debuted in January 2020.

The first season of Funimation was shown live as it aired in Japan. The business also provided an English dub.

Kaede Honj, whose friend Risa Shiramine invites her to join a virtual reality MMO game with her, is the main character of the novels. Kaede does not detest games, but she does not enjoy experiencing pain. She makes a character called Maple and chooses to invest all of her points in VIT in order to reduce suffering. She thus moves slowly, is incapable of using magic, and is vulnerable to even a rabbit. But as it turns out, by putting points into VIT, she receives a talent called “Absolute Defense” as well as a “Counter Skill” that counters special techniques. She now travels on adventures thanks to her power to negate all damage.

Yuumikan started publishing chapters of the narrative in serial form on the Shsetsuka ni Nar (Let’s Become Novelists) website in 2016. She is continuing doing so. Beginning in September 2017, Kadokawa published the story as a print novel with illustrations by Koin.

In May 2018, Jiro Oimoto released a manga adaption in the Comp Ace magazine from Kadokawa.
