Kazuya Nakai, a Japanese voice actor and narrator, was born in Kobe, Japan, on November 25, 1967 (his birth name is Nakai Kazuya). He has ties to Aoni Production. He is well known for playing Roronoa Zoro in One Piece. Other notable voice actors include Toshiro Hijikata of Gintama, Date Masamune of Sengoku Basara, Xiahou Dun and Dian Wei of the Dynasty Warriors and Warriors Orochi series, Shinjiro Aragaki of the Persona series, Mugen of Samurai Champloo, Mondo Owada of the Danganronpa series, Ultraman Max in Ultraman Max, and Jin Sakai of the Japanese dub of the He was recognised for his work in Gin Tama and One Piece anime with a Best Supporting Actor Seiyu Award in 2011.
