Poupelle of Chimney Town screening and Akihiro Nishino’s appearance at Anime NYC have been postponed.

Due to a scheduling change, Akihiro Nishino, the author of the picture book Poupelle of Chimney Town (Entotsu-ch no Poupelle), will no longer be appearing at Anime NYC, the convention’s officials stated on Twitter on Friday. Additionally, Studio 4°C’s anime adaptation of the book has been postponed due to the occurrence.

According to a tweet from the conference, “this movie will hopefully be screened in the future.”

With original writers Homura Kawamoto and Hikaru Muno, as well as producer Hiroki Okamoto, the High Card anime will have its global premiere at Anime NYC. Hiromi Wakabayashi, Shigeto Koyama, and Sushio from Studio Trigger will also be present, as well as chief producer Waki Kiyotaka and producer Yoshihiro Watanabe from Studio Orange, Mob Psycho 100 voice actor Setsuo Ito, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway director Shuko Murase, Blue Reflection designer Mel Kishida, Final Fantasy XV composer Yoko Shimomura, and Attack on Titan creator

At the occasion, Laid-Back Camp the Movie (Eiga Yurukyan), an anime film, and the first two episodes of the television anime Tomo-chan Is a Girl! will both have their U.S. premieres on Crunchyroll.

On November 18 to 20, the Javits Center in New York City will host the Anime NYC event of this year.
