A larger cast and new artwork are shown for the anime Reborn to Master the Blade.

Hayaken’s Reborn to Master the Blade: From Hero-King to Extraordinary Squire (Eiy-, Bu o Kiwameru Tame Tensei-Su: Soshite, Sekai Saiky no Minarai Kishi) light novel series will soon be adapted into a television anime, and on Friday, the official website for the project debuted new cast members and artwork.

Members of the new cast are:

  • Haruka Shiraishi as Eri
  • Eri Kitamura as Sistia Rouge
  • Naomi Ōzora as Ripple

The first episode of the anime will debut in January 2023, and Crunchyroll will stream it live as it airs.

Stars of the program include:

  • Akari Kitō as Inglis Eucus
  • Ai Kakuma as Rafinha Bilford
  • Tomori Kusunoki as Leone Olfa
  • Wakana Kuramochi as Liselotte Arcia

At Studio Comet, the animation is being directed by Naoyuki Kuzuya (Saiyuki Gaiden, Wild Adapter, Jza Engi Engetsu Sangokuden). The writing for the television series is done by Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-A-Girlfriend, Edens Zero, Anime-Gataris). The characters are being created by Reiichir Fuji (Animation Director of Fairy Ranmaru Bank), with Tomoko Miyakawa, Rion Matsuda, and Maki Fukui serving as sub-character designers. In addition to Masayuki Nomoto, the principal animators are Fuji, Miyakawa, and Matsuda. The soundtrack is being written by Kenta Higashiohji (Super Shiro, Secrets of the Jungle, Pokémon the Movie). The sound director is Fumiyuki Go, while sound effects are credited to Emi Takanashi.

The light novel series is distributed by J-Novel Club, which says the following about it:

As a warrior once again, such was Hero-King Inglis’s last dream. However, when he wakes up, he discovers he was reincarnated as a female into a noble family! She sets out to be the most exceptional squire ever, despite being turned down for the knighthood.

On the Let’s Be Novelists website in March 2019, Hayaken started serializing the first novel’s tale.

The books are being printed and illustrated by Nagu under Hobby Japan’s HJ Bunko brand.

On Hobby Japan’s Comic Fire website, Moto Kuromura has been serializing the comic.

In November 2020, two short anime films based on the light book series will be released.
