After 2 years, Daisuke Higuchi’s Whistle! W Manga Resumes

On Monday, Daisuke Higuchi’s Whistle! W manga has been resumed on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE app. The manga was on hold due to the author’s health’s issues on April 2019.

The author of Daisuke Higuchi’s Whistle! W is Higachi. She said that at that time she was taking some time off to recover and recharge.

About Daisuke Higuchi’s Whistle!

Daisuke Higuchi’s Whistle! W manga is about two boys. One of them is Kōga Tenjō who is blessed with an affluent family. His father is a former soccer player and an unyielding spirit. While the other boy is Takumi Kurose who is a reticent and detached boy. He has endured past hardships. This manga is about the story when they meet and a whole new soccer story begins.

Daisuke Higuchi’s Whistle! W manga is launched by Higuchi in Ura Sunday and Manga One in September 2016. The fourth compiled book volume of manga was published on Shogakukan in January 2019. This manga is a new story in Higuchi’s Whistle! soccer manga series.

In Shueisha’s Weekly Shonne Jump magazine, the original Whistle! W manga has been serialized by Higuchi. It was serialized from 1998 to 2002. 24 compiled book volumes for the series has been released by Shueisha. From 2004 to 2010, Viz Media released all 24 volumes in English. The manga was digitally released from 2013 to 2014. 39 episode television anime adaptation was received by the manga in 2002 to 2003 . There was a stage play adaptation also happened in 2016

Dokushi – Blunt

Dokushi -Blunt, a new manga has been launched by Higuchi on Gentosha’s Comic boot website last july. It a sequel to her Dokushi manga. In August 2019, A full color special chapter for the Whitle! W manga was also published by the Higuchi on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump + website.
